Please join us for NYAIL's Budget Advocacy Day!
Budget Advocacy Day is scheduled for Monday, February 11th. Check-in will begin at 10:00 a.m. 
(RSVP info below) and the opening program, with invited speakers, will be held from
11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the Well of the Legislative Office Building (LOB) in downtown Albany.
This year's Budget Advocacy Day will again be held in collaboration with the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Association of New York State (CDPAANYS). 
Please contact local legislators as soon as possible to schedule your center's meetings! Please avoid scheduling meetings during the opening program to ensure a
large presence in the Well of the LOB to hear our speakers and show our strength.

Preliminary Schedule
10:00 a.m. Check-in: Each participant will receive a packet of materials and copies of the 2019 Disability Priority Agenda to distribute to legislators. 
Location: The Well of the Legislative Office Building

11:00 a.m. Opening Rally

1:00- 5:00 p.m. Member center meetings with legislators and packet "drop-offs." Make your center's appointments now.
** We ask centers to avoid scheduling meetings during the opening program to ensure a large presence in the Well to hear our speakers and show our strength!

Registration and Attendance Details:
2019 Disability Priority Agenda: NYAIL's 2019 Disability Priority Agenda with legislative priorities will be available on our website soon.
NYAIL will also prepare a response to the 2019-20 Executive Budget for participants to use in their meetings with legislators.

DPA Review Session:
 NYAIL will be announcing a DPA conference call review session shortly to review all materials in advance of NYAIL's Budget Advocacy Day on February 11th.

NYAIL can make arrangements for the expected number of attendees. Note that ILCs must schedule their own meetings with local legislators,
and we encourage you to do so as soon as possible!

Exhibit Tables: 
Exhibit tables are available through RSVP for NYAIL member ILC's in the Well of the LOB. Your ILC's visibility is assured if you plan now to bring informational materials!

to reserve a table.

Sign Language Interpreters: 
NYAIL will arrange for interpreters on a first-come, first-served basis for those member ILCs that let us know their needs no later than Friday, January 25th.

Accessible Parking: 
Reserved accessible parking will be available on a first come first served basis. Please submit your parking request by Monday, February 4th.

Hotel Accommodations: 
NYAIL will NOT be reserving rooms for Legislative Day participants. If you need assistance with hotel recommendations please contact Aurie Mercer at the NYAIL office.
