Position Title: Public Relations & Fundraising Coordinator

Organization: Access to Independence- Cortland’s leading disability rights organization.

Position: Public Relations & Fundraising Coordinator – Full-Time (Salary)

Duties and Responsibilities: The Public Relations & Fundraising Coordinator will coordinate publications and general communications for internal and external audiences, consistent with Agency’s annual media plan, including website, social media pages, press releases and quarterly newsletter with a distribution to 4,500 people.

The successful candidate will:

• Develop and execute Agency’s annual fundraising plan, including annual giving campaign, annual Gala and silent auction event, and annual Bowl-4-Abilties event.
• Substantially contribute to all aspects of Agency applications for grant opportunities and Requests for Proposals.
• Identify, develop and implement strategies to solicit support from individuals, businesses, corporations and foundations, all with an eye to expanding the Agency’s capacity to help people with disabilities live more independent lives in the community.

Qualification:

The ideal candidate will have: 

• Exceptional writing and public speaking skills.
• Experience managing public relations.
• A proven history with event management.
• A background with cultivating donor relationships.

This is a full time salaried position. The salary will be based on experience. Exceptional benefits package.
